IBB Amsterdam will show the Mi Moneda brand at the CMJ buyers meeting this weekend alongside Ti Sento.

Interchangeable silver pendant brand launches with John Greed trial.

IBB Dublin is set to venture into the UK for the first time with interchangeable pendant brand Mi Moneda.

The company, which is led by John Cooney, has been distributing Mi Moneda in Ireland for the past year but is now planning to push into the UK market with the jewellery brand and has already signed up John Greed Jewellers as its first stockist.


The Mi Moneda brand has a strong following in the Netherlands where it has originated from and has been building up a successful customer base in Ireland with 24 points of sale to date.

The concept brand is a range of sterling silver pendants that have interchangeable coin inserts, allowing shoppers to buy multiple coins to slot into the pendants to achieve different looks ranging from simple inscriptions to Swarovski crystals or mother of pearl details. Cooney has described the brand as “like Pandora for necks”.

An average price point for a whole necklace – the pendant, coin and coin holder are priced seperately – is about £100. 

Mi Moneda hs also picked up a celebrity following with pop star Rihanna spotted wearing her gun-emblazoned pendant on several occasions. In Ireland the brand has also teamed up with Irish model Rozanna Purcell to create a series of promo shots.
