Katerina Perez has been announced as the winner of the UK Social Influencer category at IJL’s first ever blog awards.
Judges said Perez’s blog and social media channels illustrated her passion for all kinds of jewellery and praised her delivery of “interesting, knowledgeable insight and striking, beautiful images”.
Shortlisted for the award was Cult of Youth, Gemologue, InDetail, Purely Diamonds Blog and The Cut London.
As part of the inaugural awards, two categories of jewellery bloggers were recognised with Social Influencer Based Outside of the UK accompanying the award picked up by Perez.
Danielle Miele of Gem Gossip in the United States won the overseas award, impressing the judges with “daily beautiful pictures to her 176,000 followers”.
The judging panel shortlisted Champagne Gem (Australia), Gem High Jewellery Dream (Italy), Jewelry Without Walls (USA), LauraGrisciArt (Brazil) and The Diamonds Girl (USA).
The panel said: “The winning UK and international blogs do more than celebrate jewellery; they consistently and effectively educate and inspire followers and fans, with passion. Exactly what a great blog, and great bloggers, should do.”
The International Jewellery London Blog Awards were held at 5pm on Sunday, the first day of IJL at Olympia, London.
The judging panel consisted of Asha Pitt, founder and director of Living Content Ltd, Rachel Galley, director of Rachel Galley Jewellery Design, Sarah Jordan, founder of The William Agency and IJL Inspire Blog Contributor and Helen Clifford, marketing and social media manager of IJL.
