The world of jewellery fascinates many people. Nowhere is this more evident than at INHORGENTA MUNICH. For the next edition of the international trade fair for timepieces, jewellery and gemstones, more than 27,000 visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors from 41 countries are expected.

Word has got around in the jewellery and watch sector that INHORGENTA MUNICH is the ideal stage for anyone in the industry: from established international brands, manufacturers and specialist firms to talented young designers. Every year, the organisers from Munich inspire visitors with new concepts and ideas.

This year, the TRENDFACTORY MUNICH is brand-new. Located in hall C2, the aim here is to deliver knowledge-rich speeches from top-experts on the topics of sustainability and future retail. Who is there? For example, Andy Bardon, contributing photographer at National Geographic, USA. He will talk about “storytelling and sustainability: the case of pearl farming in Ahe, French Polynesia”. Another highlight-speaker is Rita Lahlou, senior manager and head of jewellery at Amazon Europe and early stage tech investor. She will talk about the future of retail.

Stefanie Mändlein on the new format: “Today, markets and trends are changing quicker than ever. Digitalisation, new forms of customer behaviour and sustainability – these are just a few of the topics that will be covered by our major speakers at the trade fair. With its design-focus on sustainability and future retail, the newly conceived hall C2 will be the perfect setting for discussions. We are really looking forward to this.”

Another highlight of INHORGENTA MUNICH 2020: The watch boutique. Established in 2019, a total of eight exhibitors will present their new models and collections in this special and inspiring spot in hall A1. Mändlein explains: “The spatial focal point also includes a bar, which will produce a relaxed lounge atmosphere. Exhibitors, visitors and other industry experts will meet here for talks about current developments in the timepieces segment. The whole thing is designed in an elegant boutique style that is even already being received positively by our exhibitors; the Watch Boutique has long been booked out.”

The six halls of INHORGENTA MUNICH cover all kinds of jewellery and watches. And the best pieces will be distinguished at INHORGENTA MUNICH 2020 – with the INHORGENTA AWARD. In just four years, it has made a name for itself in the segment. “We couldn’t have imagined the success in our wildest dreams when we introduced the award in 2017. So we are even more delighted that it is now considered a real seal of quality in the industry,” admits Mändlein.

So it is hardly surprising that a number of TV crews, photographers and journalists have announced their attendance at the glamorous gala on 16th February 2020. The biggest crowd will take to the red carpet as plenty of prominent visitors once again join the event.

Regardless of who receives the diamond-shaped award – one thing is certain: It is ideas and events like this that help generate interest from more and more exhibitors in the international trade fair for jewellery, timepieces and gemstones. And INHORGENTA MUNICH will stay its course: in the direction of growth.

INHORGENTA MUNICH will take place 14th – 17th February 2020 and tickets are available at
