INSIGHT: Claudia Bradby launches her Pearl Revolution concept at IJL

Claudia Bradby has spent the past 12 months refocusing her brand offer, creating striking new lifestyle imagery and honing her brand proposition. With ‘The Pearl Revolution’ as her new motto, we asked Bradby to give us a taste of what to expect at IJL…

On new brand imagery and messaging…

“I am thrilled that our new imagery is a success and conveys our brand messaging. It is very difficult to articulate your design philosophy in words, so I felt the best way was to bite the bullet and show rather than tell.  From a simple grey t-shirt to red carpet chic I feel pearls can be worn across the board; if you get the design and feel right. Having developed the imagery and AW15 designs thus far, we feel we offer nothing short of a pearl revolution, and are the only company to offer such a strong collection that is worthy of this phrase. Claudia Bradby pearls are definitely not boring old pearls and I have worked really hard to fine tune our designs and offer something for everyone in our disruption of the traditional pearl sector.”

On the AW15 Infinity collection…

“Our new Infinity range represents a new, more polished, and identifiable, range for our brand, and will appeal to a broader customer who is looking for something completely new.  With a hint of rebellion in the pearl studs it is a very commercial and sleek collection.”

On the new ‘The World is Your Oyster’ designs…

‘‘The world is your oyster is definitely a sentiment I would like to share, and when my mum brought me back, earlier this year, a collection of shells from the beach where I was born in Australia my favourite shell was similar in shape to an oyster shell.  I made a drawing of this shell and had it cast, with worn down edges to ape the smoothing of the sea.  Together with a simple half drilled pearl charm it fits our pearl story and is my key gifting item this season, and will be an iconic Claudia Bradby piece for the future.  Pre-season sales of this design have been very strong.”
