Harriet Kelsall’s eponymous bespoke jewellery service has quietly garnered itself a sterling reputation as one of the go-to places for custom pieces in the UK.
It now boasts a team of more than 35, operating out of four different premises around England, including a Tudor barn conversion in Hertfordshire.
None of this would have been possible without the inspiration and continued hard work of the founder, who is also now deputy chair for the NAJ.
In an interview with PJ this January she voiced her disappointment that landlords were not reducing rents during the pandemic, but said that the business was ploughing on regardless of the difficult year.
Always a step ahead, Harriet told PJ: “We have been doing online consultations for many years successfully so we are already happy with these.”
Tellingly, her colleague Lucy Tebbutt says that Harriet’s top priority throughout the last year has been “looking after the wellbeing of the staff” through staying in close contact with all employees.
