Anja Potze is the powerhouse behind Anja Potze Fine Jewellery, an award-winning independent jewellery store based in Worcester.
This year marks 25 years in business for the firm, which stocks a limited number of jewellery brands, specifically chosen to meet the needs of the city’s customers, alongside the namesake founder’s own designs.
While the store, service and staff are certainly something to be admired, Anja Potze deserves recognition for placing the local community at the heart of her business.
Not only is Potze the director of the city’s BID and a trustee of the Museum of Royal Worcester, she’s also a governor at a local school, where she mentors students — teaching interview skills, inspiring them to be entrepreneurial and often offering work experience in her shop.
Moreover, Potze supports a number of different charities. Just last year, the business raised £30,000 for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven, and this year the jeweller is fundraising for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Efforts like these have resulted in the jeweller winning local accolades.
It is clear the community appreciates a business that not only cares about profits, but genuinely cares about making a difference.
Unsurprisingly, Anja Potze is admired by staff and customers alike for her positive and inspirational attitude, and for going above and beyond to support the local community through her business.
