Family-run Pragnell has been going from strength-to-strength with managing director, Charlie Pragnell, at the helm.
In the last five years alone, the business has seen sales soar, expanded the flagship in Stratford Upon Avon and extended its retail footprint with the acquisition of a store in Mayfair and the rebrand of Tarratt to Pragnell in Leicester.
Doubling the size of the flagship store was a momentous moment for the sixth generation managing director.
“The expansion of our Stratford-upon-Avon showroom is a hugely exciting step in the history of Pragnell,” Charlie Pragnell, said at the time, “My grandfather moved his family to live and trade from number 5 in 1954, my father expanded the shop into number 6, and it was the right time for me to evolve the headquarters further by extending into number 7.”
Both domestic and overseas business have been impressive under Charlie Pragnell’s leadership, with the latter winning a royal seal of approval.
A couple of years ago Pragnell scooped the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. The prestigious honour was given to Pragnell following the successful implementation of an international growth strategy in 2014. The strategy consisted of a ten-point plan, including investing in training, taking on new multi-lingual hires, expanding stock, introducing an annual exclusive client event, investing in marketing, extending opening hours and implementing new payment systems.
