Ivonna Poplanska has been appointed as jewellery design director for independent retailer Allum & Sidaway.

Poplanska, who will take up her role in May, is a multi award-winning jewellery designer. Over her ten year stellar career, Poplanska has worked on numerous bespoke commissions including the creation of a brooch ‘The Eternal Dove’ for Queen Elizabeth II presented in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee by The British Jewellers’ Association.

The designer learned her craft at the University for the Creative Arts in Kent, graduating with a First Class Honours before moving to London to take part in a post-graduate programme at The Goldsmiths’ Centre.

At Allum & Sidaway, Poplanska will be available for free design consultations in consumers preferred store, although eventually based in the new Allum & Sidaway Salisbury boutique to be opened later this summer.

The new luxury destination will have a private bridal, fine jewellery and bespoke area where Poplanska will promote and work on bespoke commissions within the group. She will also offer presentations to societies around Dorset and Wiltshire introducing listeners to her craft and gemstones that she uses in her work.

Allum & Sidaway managing director, Jason Allum, comments: “We are delighted that Ivonna has agreed to join our group as she has an amazing talent and her extensive design experience and inspiration will allow us to offer an unrivalled and unique service to our clients”.

Poplanska adds: “Designing a bespoke engagement ring or redesigning our customer’s heirloom jewellery will give me an opportunity to take them on a beautiful journey when they are at the happiest times of their lives”.
