Bridal and couture gown designer branches into crystal accessories.

Jenny Packham, a designer better recognised for bridal and couture gowns, has unveiled her AW12 bridal jewellery collection, with a play on film noir and 1940s femme fatales.

The collection is said to reflect a “dark mood” and has been designed glamorous, enticing, calculating and dangerous “leading ladies”.

Packham’s designs include crystal, studded and Swarovski-set pieces in darker hues of red, gunmetal and black. Haematites stones and antiqued settings have also been used to add a sense of vintage.

A release from the brand said:“Cuffs and necklaces, heavily encrusted with bugle beads, navette and pendant jewels make a tough, textured statement of modern femme-fatale chic in deep noir and burgundy.

“Headbands adorned with rondelle bars, undulating strands of fine silver and crystal reflect a romantic, Art Deco heritage.”

At present Packham sells bridal accessories and jewellery on her site, with retail prices upwards of £95 for a pair of crystal drop earrings, up to £670 for a detailed, embellished bib neckpiece.
