Chain tight-lipped about affordable range from red carpet designer.

Red carpet fashion designer Jenny Packham is set to create a range of jewellery for high street department store chain Debenhams.

The fashion designer, who has created show-stopping gowns for many of the Hollywood A-list and the Duchess of Cambridge, is created a broader fashion collection for the retailer at more affordable price points than its main line, and the range will also include jewellery.

A spokesperson at Debenhams said that they were unable to reveal further information about the upcoming jewellery line or when it will launch in stores.

Packham is known for her use of light fabrics, rich tones and heavy embellishments, but her SS12 collection holds no clues as to what type of jewellery the designer might create as there were no jewels on the runway at New York Fashion Week in September.

However, the fashion designer, who also specialises in bridal gowns, has a range of bridal jewellery on her website. The collection consists of heavily embellished costume cuffs, collars and earrings made using a high density of clear crystals, silver-tone metal and white fabric.
