Winchester retailer becomes early stockist of ethical jewellery brand.

Foundation Jewellery, one of the first 20 jewellery companies to work with Fairtrade Fairmined gold in the UK, has been snapped up by award-winning Winchester retailer Jeremy France.

The store has become one of the founding agencies for the brand, as it looks to extend its reach among UK jewellery retailers.

Adam Jacobs, founder of Foundation Jewellery said: “We’re thrilled to have Jeremy France join us in what will be one of the most interesting journeys the jewellery industry has taken in many years.

“Jeremy’s reputation for detail, service and high standards are widely known. It’s a pleasure to have him and his business as one of our founder agencies. We look forward to a long, fruitful and genuinely fulfilling partnership.”

Jacobs said that the brand hopes to add more “forward-thinking” retailers to its ranks, as it looks to fulfil its goal of bringing classic, fine luxury jewellery with a ethical pedigree to the UK.

Jeremy France, owner of Jeremy France Jewellers said: “We’re delighted to bring to Winchester this impressive and innovative collection of ethical jewellery. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of the industry: presenting this complimentary ethical range gives our customers an informed choice in their purchases.

“Foundation’s sensible and commercial range works will work well for us with our educated and discerning customers. Foundation’s overall package of a superbly presented brand, recycled packaging, window display and training made it a surprisingly easy decision. It’s fantastic working with a company who are open, innovative and thoughtful.”

The jewellery brand currently has nine collections of classically-styled wedding and engagement rings and complimenting pendants. It was founded last year by Adam Jacobs and Peter Ungar.
