Jewellery brand championing female designers celebrates Covent Garden store opening


The Alkemistry, a jewellery brand that focuses on empowering women, has opened its first standalone store in Covent Garden.

The brand was founded in 2015 by Kristie Gibbs, a former luxury jewellery buyer ar Harrods, with a focus on showcasing entirely from female designers from around the globe.

The Alkemistry boasts of influential stockists, including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, and now shoppers can be completely be immersed in the brand’s vision at the debut standalone boutique on Floral Street.

Gibbs says the aim is to create a space where women are celebrated and where buying fine jewellery is a unique and engaging experience enchanting retail theatre.

She remarks: “I wanted to create a place that celebrates women and makes buying fine jewellery an uplifting, fun and engaging experience.

“So here it is on 22 Floral Street, a place for women with a love of luxury to find original, wearable jewellery that enhances their beauty inside and out.”

The Alkemistry stocks nearly 20 brands, curated entirely from international female designers, while Gibbs also designs her own jewellery – with the latest collection, Orion, launching soon.
