Sheffield Steel Rings has announced a brand overhaul in honour of its first anniversary as a business.

The jewellery brand, which was founded in March 2020, will henceforth be known as Flinn & Steel, a change which it hopes will mark a new era for the business.

It works predominantly with steel and titanium wedding rings and was founded by husband-and-wife duo Jessica and Ollie Allen, working from their home near Sheffield.

The pair said that the brand was the natural next step from Jessica’s Jessica Flinn brand, which produces unusual engagement and wedding rings.

Ollie, meanwhile, was already making steel rings on a freelance basis. The couple claim to have foreseen the 2020 e-commerce boom and decided to strike while the iron was hot, creating the brand and its first collection.

Now they hope that the new name will allow the brand to be accepted more on a national level.

Jessica Flinn-Allen, co-founder and managing director, added: “I’m thrilled to be taking Sheffield Steel Rings to the next level with our exciting rebrand to Flinn & Steel.

“We wanted the new name to represent the meeting of our two worlds, the ‘Flinn’ from my jewellery background and the ‘Steel’ representing Ollie and the crazy journey we have been on whilst setting up the business in the midst of a global pandemic whilst homeschooling our kids.

“I’m so proud of our little business and so grateful to all the lovely clients who have bought from us over the last year!

“We honestly can’t wait to see where the business goes in the next year and I’m so excited to see it keep evolving.”
