London-based jewellery designer, Nicole Akong, has made it to the final of the sixth series of the Great British Sewing Bee.

Airing tonight on BBC One, the acclaimed designer will be going head to head with two other contestants, and at the moment she is favourite to win the show.

For the final, the remaining trio will take on a celebration wear challenge before the winner is announced.

Judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young will start by challenging the sewers to make a little boys kilt without a pattern.

In the Transformation Challenge, they will then each attempt to turn party dresses into fun outfits fit to wear at a carnival, before finally creating unique gowns using luxury fabric in the Made to Measure section of the show.

At the end of the three challenges, one of the competitors will be crowned the 2020 winner.
