Devon-based Jewellery insurance company TH March employees are taking part in a midnight walk supporting St Luke’s Hospice.
17 Women from the UK’s leading jewellery trade specialist insurance brokers will be participating in the neon-themed walk this Saturday to help raise funds for the Plymouth-based hospice.
Chief operating officer at TH March, Andrew Alcock, said: “T H March has a long history of charitable giving and is delighted to support the efforts of our fantastic team of heroes.
“It is great that so many of our wonderful staff have decided to take part in the Midnight Walk this year. I know from my own experience (from long distance running) that charitable fundraising takes on a life of its own. We are really proud of everyone.”
They will join thousands of other women helping to raise funds towards the £4 million the charity must raise annually in order to continue providing specialist palliative care and support for patients and their families across Plymouth, Southwest Devon and East Cornwall.
HR manager Joanne Morgan added: “St Luke’s is a much-loved charity and very close to our hearts here at TH March. Over the years quite a few of us have had family and friends cared for by the charity and like others on the walk we will each be walking in memory of those loved ones.
“We are very pleased that our employer has made a donation which has boosted our fundraising and in addition to that the father of one of our team members Jade McDermott ran a pub quiz to support our efforts and raised £205.”
