Birmingham-based trade show Jewellery & Watch has announced Italy as its country of focus for next year’s event.
Italy has a thriving jewellery industry and makes a great choice for Jewellery & Watch to have as its international focus for 2017.
In addition, the continued investment and market focus on Italy and Southern Europe has resulted in the appointment of new country manager, Maria Rosaria Nastri.
Nastri will be promoting the UK market to Italian brands and suppliers as a platform for route-to-market. She is delighted to take on this all-important role for the upcoming show in 2017, emphasising that the UK jewellery market is one of the leading destinations for foreign businesses.
“I will be engaging with Italian jewellery associations, export promotion councils and local bodies to educate them on the opportunity that the UK jewellery and watch market presents and increase their brand awareness,” explains Nastri. “I look forward to regularly travelling to Italy and Southern Europe in search of new Italian brands and suppliers as well as key retailers who are interested in attending the show to source new collections at the beginning of the calendar year.
Since Jewellery & Watch became a stand-alone brand (co-located with Spring Fair) the organisation has worked with some of the leading Italian jewellery brands such as; Roberto Coin, Fope, Blue White Group, Chimento, Nomination and Rebecca.
Italian brands confirmed to exhibit next year include Rebecca, Nomination, Lebole, Ferrara Gife Gioielli, Ferrarese, Moraglione, Le Carose and B*YOU.
The next edition of Jewellery & Watch takes place 5–9 February 2017.
