The first jewellery collections from new sustainable brand Matilde, by Matilde Faria Mourinho Felix, have launched online today.
The designer is the daughter of famed football manager, and current Tottenham Hotspur boss, José Mourinho.
The Matilde brand promises to use only recycled gold and lab-grown diamonds, eco-friendly packaging, and transparent processes.
This marks the first public project from Mourinho Felix after she graduated with a masters from Conde Nast College of Fashion & Design this August.
She commented: “I have always loved jewellery and the power it has to tell your story in a way that needs no words.
“Jewellery is a beautiful way to adorn yourself with meaning while making a statement about who you are and what you believe in.
“After years of studying fashion and working within the creative industries, and learning about the devastating impact that jewellery can have on our environment, I decided to launch Matilde to share my vision for a kinder, sustainable and more accessible brand that has the power to make an impact with its values and practices.”
The brand launches exclusively online today with two handmade fine jewellery collections.
The Sustainable First Collection takes inspiration from the movements and forms found in nature and features rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets, and necklaces.
