The Jewellery Valuers Association (JVA) has released tickets for its Spring Symposium event which will take place over the last weekend of March.
The JVA said the event is intended for valuers and appraisers, students, jewellers, gemmologists, and anyone else interested in learning more about jewellery, gems, and the history, ethics and value behind the industry.
Spring Symposium, running 27 and 28 March in a digital format, will feature a line-up of industry experts from the UK, Australia, America and Canada, offering a varied programme of jewellery- and appraisal-related topics.
Tickets are free for JVA members, while general admission is £50. Talks will run 10am-2pm on the Saturday, and 2pm-6pm on the Sunday, allowing viewers around the world to watch on at least one day.
Presentations will start on the hour, with an allocated question-and-answer period at the end. Handouts, if available, will be emailed to all registered attendees following the event,
Each session will be recorded and the link to the recording will be sent to everyone who has registered in order to rewatch over the following week.
A certificate of attendance will follow after the event which can be used towards JVA members’ continuing professional development.
JVA committee member and co-host, Clare Blatherwick, commented: “The JVA Spring Symposium is a really exciting event bringing together speakers from across the globe to not only further the knowledge of our incredible JVA members but, by opening up the invitation to the trade and public, allows us to give a taste of the quality of our offering.
“It is a very worthy prelude to an exceptional conference being organised for 10-12 September 2021 which will see us, all being well, reunited in person after the hiatus of the last year.”
