Laings of Glasgow launches TV ad campaign


Jeweller returns to the small screen after a 20-year absence.

Retail jeweller Laings of Glasgow has launched its first TV campaign in 20 years.

The campaign of 10-second and 20-second ads will run on Scottish TV network STV for three weeks. The first ad aired last night.

The adverts have been created to promote Portfolio of Fine Diamonds, a brand of high quality diamond jewellery at competitive prices that the business sells at its Argyll Arcade shop in Glasgow. Laings is the only stockist of Portfolio of Fine Diamonds in central Scotland.

Laings TV ads will be shown at various times throughout the day, including This Morning, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and Coronation Street. The retailer has also booked a slot during prime time weekend show The X Factor.

Laings of Glasgow director Wendy Laing said: “We are delighted to be the only stockist of Portfolio of Fine Diamonds in the central belt of Scotland and it felt natural that our first foray into the world of TV advertising in over 20 years should highlight this fabulous range of diamond rings.

“It’s exciting for us to be back on Scottish television screens. Hopefully STV viewers will enjoy the new advert and pop in to see the fabulous range we have on offer this Christmas.”
