Laings has revealed plans to operate on a appointment-only basis when it reopens its Southampton boutique on June 16.

Luxury jewellers, Laings, has been working hard to ensure that the business can safely open doors when government guidelines permit. Plans have now been put in place to allow the retailer to safely re-open the Southampton store next week and customers will be invited to book appointments held in-store.

The health and safety of their clients, staff and community have been paramount for Laings and at the forefront of their reopening strategy post-lockdown.

The jeweller will be introducing a bespoke appointment service, available to book online, allowing them to deliver a five-star personalised customer experience while ensuring the comfort and safety of clients and staff at all times.

Retail director at Laings, Stuart McDowell, comments: “At Laings we pride ourselves on our customer service, and all of our clients receive the luxurious Laings experience. We passionately believe that purchasing our luxury products should be coupled with the unforgettable customer journey, no matter the circumstances.

“By offering an appointment-only service, we can ensure appropriate social distancing while maintaining the standard of customer experience synonymous with Laings.”

Ahead of re-opening, Laings retail staff are undergoing specialised training to enable them to continue to deliver the firm’s renowned customer service, alongside the necessary safety measures.

Safety equipment is set-up in the store, and social distancing will be practised, with a limited number of people in the store at any one time.

Furthermore, the store has been deep-cleaned to ensure that it is ready to welcome customers.

McDowell continues: “Throughout this difficult time we’ve continued to be there for our customers in every way possible. The memorable occasions that a piece from Laings mark has not stopped and we’re committed to helping customers purchase special pieces to be cherished for generations.

“The re-opening of our stores allows us to do this, providing a touch of luxury during these challenging times and we’re looking forward to welcoming both new and returning customers alike.”

Laings stores in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cardiff will be reopening when government guidelines advise that it is safe to do so and will also operate an appointment-only based system.
