Actress faces police questions after jewellery goes astray
American actress Lindsay Lohan is facing accusations of stealing high-end jewellery after being photographed wearing the missing items.
Lohan is accused of stealing the jewellery in Los Angeles, celebrity news site Radar Online reports. The site claims that Lohan stole a high-end necklace, with law enforcement officials suggesting they have video evidence of her wearing the piece in question. "A search warrant was requested Tuesday at the Airport Court to search Lindsay’s house for the item of jewellery in question", a law enforcement agent told Radar Online.
If the jewellery is valued at $5000 or more Lohan could be charged with theft. The accusations are another in a line of troubles for Lohan, who was suspected of stealing almost £250,000 worth of Dior jewellery from an Elle photoshoot in London, in 2009.
Recent news has seen Lohan paired with high-end jeweller Pascal Mouawad, with a view to designing a collaborative collection. Following a business meeting Mouawad is reported to have gifted Lohan a heart-shaped 10ct diamond necklace worth an estimated £16,000.
