London Diamond Bourse launches diamond grading window service

The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) has launched a new window service, enabling members’ diamonds to be sent to the International Institute of Diamond Grading and Research (IIDGR) lab in Maidenhead for grading or screening.

LDB chief operating officer Victoria McKay commented: “Our partnership with IIDGR continues to develop, and our aim is to support the UK diamond trade by aligning our organisation with credible and world class partners. This follows on from our partnership with Anchorcert last year, whom also have a state-of-the-art Birmingham facility.”

She continued: “The diamond industry has many challenges presently. We will continue to use our worldwide and UK connections to create alliances with industry partners to underpin the UK diamond trade. Our message is clear – we are focused on future confidence in diamonds and on maintaining the integrity of the supply chain.”

The launch of the service follows on from an exclusive LDB members-only seminar hosted at De Beers HQ yesterday during which, London Diamond Bourse members heard first-hand speakers, were able to see demonstrations of melee screening equipment and speak directly to experts to address any questions the might have.
