London jeweller aids Australian bushfire relief efforts

London-based ethical jeweller, Pippa Small, is supporting Australian bushfire relief efforts.

Hundreds of bushfires have burnt more than 15 million acres of land in Australia since September, killing 25 people and more than 1 billion animals, alongside destroying thousands of homes.

While rain in recent days has slowed the spread, the national disaster is far from over, and many celebrities and companies are doing what they can to help aid relief.

Notably, in the UK jewellery trade, Pippa Small is donating 100% of profits from the sale of her 22ct gold Kangaroo charm to WIRES, the largest wildlife rescue organisation in Australia.

Posting on Instagram, the designer says: “As the world’s hearts break for Australia, we are offering 100% of profit from the sale of our 22kt gold kangaroo charm to Wires Wild Rescue who are caring for and protecting thousands of injured and displaced animals.”

The designer also used this post to highlight other charities and other ways people can help.

In the UK the Kangaroo necklace retails at £310.
