The 7 day event launched last night in a party at Goldsmiths Hall.
The event was packed with designers, many of whom were exhibiting pieces from their latest collections.
Notable attendees included David Marshall, Shaun Leane and up-and-comer Alexandra Simpson. Supermodel Lisa Butcher also made an appearance.
London Jewellery Week director and Treasure event organiser Della Tinsley said she was pleased with the way the night had gone. Tinsley took over at the end of last year when former sponsors Coutts withdrew their sponsorship at short notice, threatening the continuation of the 2010 show.
She said: “It’s been a mammoth task, but we’ve got here.”
Tinsley said work will start as soon as next week on the 2011 event.
Designers will be exhibiting their collections throughout London Jewellery Week in various London locations, with many designers using the period to showcase their latest creations.
Major London Jewellery Week exhibition Treasure will launch on Thursday evening and is available to view by the public from Friday. Professional Jeweller competition winners Aradesi Jewellery, Eastern Mystic and Zelia Horsley will also be exhibiting at the show on a stand sponsored by Clogau Gold.
