London Watch Show event director Daniel Malins has said of the event: "In light of the economic doom and gloom of the last few years, it is a testament to the bloody-minded work ethic of brands, as well as the enduring affection towards timepieces that a first-time, unprecedented trade show for watches can sell out in its first year.

"It is representative of a wider point, which is that watch brands are growing in size and growing in number, and they’re very much open for business."

Pre-registered visitor numbers are also strong with registration numbers already in excess of 750.
