Teams from all over the UK competed in the finals of the three day competition. The day got off to an exciting start when the Ogden’s sponsored Leolene Lions beat off fierce competition from the Beverley Polo Club team to win the Ogden of Harrogate Armada Dish competition 6 ½ – 5. The Silver Jubilee Plate was won by Summit, who beat NKS 6 – 3 ½.

Guests enjoyed a champagne reception and four-course luncheon, accompanied by the sounds of jazz band ‘All That Jazz,’ before an afternoon of chukkas and fiercely competed finals.

“With the help of Longines, we have been sponsoring this polo tournament for the last five years, and it simply grows in popularity every year,” said Ben Ogden, director of Ogden of Harrogate.

“The guests really seem to enjoy the glamorous but relaxed atmosphere, and the setting is simply stunning. It is obviously even more gratifying for us that the Yorkshire-based teams, including our own Leolene Lions, are getting more competitive and demonstrate the growing prominence of polo in the North of England.”
