The Loveweds Jewellers shop in Harpenden is keen to communicate its Hatton Garden roots with its customers.

Hatton Garden company focuses on value by offering trade prices.

Hatton Garden jewellery manufacturer Loveweds Jewellers has opened a retail boutique in Harpenden.

Loveweds Jewellers has been in the jewellery industry for more than 40 years, serving the trade from its workshop in London’s Hatton Garden and specialising in wedding rings.

In 1999 Loveweds Jewellers moved into retail, opening a store called Annabels in Hertford and Eternity in St Albans. Both stores are now under new management and the jewellery company has decided that the time is right take another crack at the retail market with its store on Harpenden.

The store in Harpenden is marketing itself with a value-for-money offer, claiming to sell its gold, platinum, palladium and silver rings by weight and offering trade prices to the public. It will offer 150 styles of rings which can be ordered into the shop from its workshop within 48 hours.

Lovewed Jewellers in Harpenden will also specialise in diamond rings, with a “high quality certified collection [of] loose diamonds of any shape and size”. Again, it is claiming to offer diamonds at trade prices.

The shop, which is run by Joshua Abraham and Mitchel Barres, opened in December and has already been attracting sales from the local area. Just before Christmas Lovewed Jewellers sols a .70ct brilliant round-cut certified diamond engagement ring set in 18ct white gold band for £2,200, which would usually have a recommended retail price of £5,000 according to Loveweds.
