Independent jeweller, Allum & Sidaway, has reported sparkling results following the revamp of its Dorchester store.

The award-winning jeweller closed its Dorchester for several weeks last autumn in order to complete a full refit and sales floor expansion inspired the look and feel of its flagship in Salisbury.

Managign director, Jason Allum, explains: “We have been looking forward to creating a more luxurious retail destination for sometime now and are delighted to have invested further in our local high street. We believe the design and features of our revamped store will prove a winning formula and are thrilled to see this has been reflected in a positive uplift of fine jewellery sales over the festive period.”

When planning the store layout and furnishings, the team focused their efforts on the customer experience and the client journey throughout the store – making the space inviting and cosy with additional seating areas, whilst ensuring the new cabinetry showed off the jewellery on offer.

Store revamp has been designed with the customer experience in mind.

Alongside boosting the customer experience, the extended shop area has enabled Allum & Sidaway to expand its brand offering to include Olivia Burton, Alex Monroe and Georg Jensen jewellery and homeware, as well as hand selected coloured diamonds and fine jewellery collections.

Continuing the company’s expansion further, Allum & Sidaway launched its first transactional website before Christmas, which boasts an impressive array of their fine jewellery alongside popular branded collections.

Jason Allum explains: “The retail industry is fast-becoming Web driven and although for Allum & Sidaway the focus has always been and will always be focusing on excellent customer service creating a memorable experience, it is imperative we make ourselves available to a broader audience.

“Allum & Sidaway is excited to offer a truly memorable, inspirational and stress-free experience for all our customers.”
