Describing itself as “run by and for its members”, the NAJ is not a brand but a jewellery association.
It has provided invaluable support to countless retailers in its history and through the pandemic. At the heart of this work is Lindsey Straughton, NAJ head of communications and industry liaison – a title that “barely covers Lindsey’s true job description”, according to the Association’s Ben Massey.
Lindsey has put in a quarter of a century’s work at the NAJ and its predecessor the British Jewellers’ Association (BJA), and this past year has been readying the industry for Brexit.
She is also key to the NAJ’s ‘Created in the UK’ initiative and a champion of a number of ethical jewellery initiatives, Ben reveals.
He adds: “The fount of all knowledge on who’s who in our industry, Lindsey effortlessly brings people together, making connections while always putting people at their ease and ensuring that the conversation keeps going.”
