Matt Aminoff London director, Ari Aminoff, shares: “First and foremost, the health and safety of the members in our company and those in the wider community is of paramount importance, and we feel it’s essential that social distancing guidelines are followed at every step going forward. Through following the advice of the government, we are confident that we can restore both the public and economic health in our country.

“We represent one of the few industries in which business cannot function through working remotely; fundamentally, our trade requires the handling of tangible goods in the process of buying and selling. We’ve therefore found ourselves in a unique position where solutions have had to be implemented in a matter of days.”

With the team now working remotely, only one person is now able to work on-site at any one time, and only when completely necessary.

This means all stringing and repairs are now down off-site, and work stations have been set up at home so the team can still oversee its operations and communication with customers and suppliers with ease.

The company is also taking this time to assess its business model, and make plans to charge ahead in the future.

Aminoff explains: “Given these highly unusual circumstances, we feel we’ve been given a unique opportunity to focus on various angles of our business going forward. We have been able to rethink and refine the way we can import goods from Japan and other Asian sources without disruption, and how we can control our London operations from any remote location.”

The London based company is confident the business will ride the wave of this current climate and come out stronger when the lockdown is lifted.
