The collection will comprise of about 30 pieces that will retail from about £150 – through RRPs are yet to be confirmed – and will include, sterling silver and 18ct gold plated earrings and pendants set with jade, with silver and turquoise gemstone collection to follow later.

Designer Rachel Galley said of working with Mathews: “I wanted to work with Meg for her vibrant, charismatic personality as well as her exceptional eye for detail and her passion and drive for creating unique designs.”

Galley added that she hoped to continue the collaboration and work with the designer long-term.

This is the first time that Mathews has designed a jewellery collection, having created a collection of scarves as well as wallpaper and a home ware range, also inspired by her love of snakes and skulls.
