Shoppers in south-east London borough Bromley will be able to buy Mikimoto’s signature pearl jewellery for the first time.

This is thanks to the brand’s new stockist in the area, Chisholm Hunter, which becomes the first ever retailer to sell the brand in Bromley.

The Japanese brand was founded in 1893 when Kokichi Mikimoto created the world’s first ever cultured pearl.

Chisholm Hunter – which also stocks the likes of Marco Bicego, Fabergé and its own-brand products – will additionally stock Mikimoto selection sets with diamonds and gemstones.

The retailer will also be able to special order any of the available lines from Mikimoto for customers.

Chisholm Hunter has recently expanded its Bromley store, allowing it to add to its portfolio of premium brands, with Mikimoto being the latest addition.

Chisholm Hunter retail director, Max Brown, said: “Following the expansion of our Bromley boutique, we are delighted to introduce Mikimoto to our portfolio of premium brands.

“Mikimoto has been producing the finest cultured pearls in the world since 1893 and the collection, which is also available at our online store, features necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings.”
