Brand founder looks to boost international recognition with new deal.
Children’s jewellery brand Molly Brown has announced the launch of its products with British Airways.
Molly Brown, best known for its Jelly Bean Collection, started featuring on the airline’s long-haul and short-haul flights at the beginning of the month.
Molly Brown founder and managing director Erica Illingworth said that she hoped that the step would increase brand awareness, not only in the UK, but in Europe and throughout the rest of the world.
She added that she had chosen products which she considered would appeal to a wide audience and age range.
Illingworth said: “This is an exciting step for Molly Brown and I am confident that the collections will be a success with British Airways. The buying team at BA have chosen best-selling pieces that can be worn by girls of all ages, young girls as well as teenagers and adults so the sales opportunity is fully optimised.”
Launched in 2006, Molly Brown has greatly increased its presence in the UK in the last two years and its collections are now in nearly 100 leading independent jewellers in the UK, as well as being the best-selling girls’ accessory in Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason.
