Demi-fine jewellery brand Monica Vinader has been recognised with the Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark.

Positive Luxury is best known for awarding its Butterfly Marks, which are awarded in recognition of a company’s efforts to improve the world around it.

Its sustainability council takes into account a company’s governance, social and environmental frameworks, community investment and innovation before deeming them worthy of the mark.

Monica Vinader received particular recognition for areas of conscious design, diversity and inclusion, responsible sourcing, supply chain transparency and philanthropy.

It is working towards becoming a net zero company and has made a number of changes in recent months.

These include: using 100% recycled 18ct gold vermeil and sterling silver; sourcing more sustainable alternatives for 85% of the plastic in its supply chain; transitioning to 100% recyclable boxes and bags; and using green energy sources in its many global offices.
