New Lace collection flies at Net-a-Porter while standalone shines.
Monica Vinader has described its Christmas trading as upbeat with its SS12 Lace collection becoming a bestseller online ahead of its official launch, while its bricks and mortar London store has outperformed against plans.
The brand is said to have had “an incredible Christmas selling period” and is trading above plan with “a very exciting year ahead”.
The jewellery brand, which is sold through jewellery and fashion retailers across the country, will move into diamonds this year and plans to launch a Jubilee and Olympic-inspired range.
The brand said that its South Molton Street store – its first UK standalone – has over-performed against plan with strong quarter sales and an exceptional Christmas trade.
Monica Vinader’s new Lace collection sold out online ahead of Christmas, after the brand offered online luxury retail giant Net-a-Porter an exclusive to sell it.
The collection, which is inspired by the lace fabrics and the mantillas of Vinader’s Spanish grandmother, includes necklaces, cuffs, rings and earrings set with coloured, faceted gemstones including labradorite, moonstone and pink and blue sapphires.
Vinader said: “I really wanted to create something different – a strong statement that still carries the essence of our brand with an eclectic twist.
Our brand’s signature is most certainly the instantly recognisable vibrant and colourful gemstones which really gives women the ability to transform their wardrobes from day to night in an instant.”
