Mick Doohan takes time out from TT to promote new TW Steel watch.

Doohan was visiting the Isle of Man as part of the TT Racing series but paid a visit to the retailer to promote his latest product.

The TW Steel Mick Doohan Special Edition watch has been based on the brand’s TECH collection and Doohan has even had a hand in designing it.

The watch features a steel sandblasted matt case with PVD dark titanium plating and off-set with shiny steel screws on the bezel and a black silicon strap. The stylish grey dial sports Doohan’s name and the tachymeter numbers and second hand have been decorated in a bold red.

The form of the case pillars on the Doohan watch are a first for the brand as they connect the bezel to the caseback in homage to the design of motorcycle shock absorbers.

Speaking of the tie-up with TW Steel, Doohan said: “This is a great project for me to be involved in and a great brand to represent. I’ve followed TW Steel with interest due to their involvement in motorsport and I obviously jumped at the chance to work with them on a Special Edition when the opportunity presented itself. I loved the fact they were responsive to my comments on the design and I’m proud to put my name on a watch that is visually strong, well built and ultimately affordable.”
