The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) has announced it will hold a masterclass to aid jewellers in their business strategies for reopening after England’s third national lockdown.

The 30-minute virtual session is set for a 10am start on Thursday, 8 April, only days before non-essential retailers are permitted to reopen in England.

It is strictly limited to 20 attendees, and has the title ‘Your leadership compass and how it could define your 2021 retail performance’.

Michael Donaldson, host of the session and facilitator of the NAJ’s JET Business Network, commented: “Many jewellery retailers will be ready to re-open on the 12th and will be confident after successfully coming out of lockdown twice before, but this time it’s different.

“Thanks to the vaccine the world has changed and so have expectations. It is possible that what leaders did before may not be what is required and that businesses may have to rethink what they do.

“This 30-minute session is for those looking to understand how they should reset their leadership compass, how to write and share a road map for their business with their most important asset, their people – the ones who really can make a difference to a jeweller’s retail performance in 2021.

“It’s not complicated, and it can be completed in the next four days before jewellery retailers re-open on 12 April.”
