Diamond marketplace Nivoda will be making a substantial increase to its lab-grown offering after demand has seen a significant jump since last year.

In August of 2020, only 6% of the company’s sales were of lab-grown diamonds, but that has now increased to 26% in only a matter of months.

Nivoda will be responding to this uptick by expanding its lab-grown offering from 70,000 stones at present to 150,000 by the end of 2021.

The supplier said this is all part of its goal to become “the largest and most reliable marketplace of lab-grown diamonds worldwide”.

Nivoda is also helping retailers to boost their digital sales with its customer facing mode and diamond feeds.

Including its natural diamond selection, Nivoda currently has over 670,000 certified stones available to purchase through its network of global suppliers.

Of these, 600,000 are natural diamonds, a number which is expected to reach 1,000,000 by the end of the year, it confirmed.

It also claims to be the only diamond platform that is updated in near real-time, resulting in higher rates of availability throughout the purchasing process.
