The Everywoman in Retail Ambassador Programme has launched its latest search for the industry’s most inspiring female role models.
The programme, now in its 10th year, aims to raise awareness of the diverse range of opportunities for women in retail and inspire more women to consider a career in this field.
Drawing on the theme of “Reinventing Retail”, the 2017 programme will recognise the role and impact that technology has had and will play in the future in the sector.
Major retailers are already exploring enhanced shopping experiences such as personal recognition, digital wallets, artificial intelligence and robotics, all of which are set to further transform the way we shop.
Nominations are now open for women of all ages and stages in their careers. They may include entrepreneurs with innovative retail businesses or those whose talents are contributing to positive change in the organisations they work for.
“With research showing that gender diverse organisations are more innovative and in touch with their customer base, this year’s programme will shine the spotlight on those women who are going above and beyond to ensure that customer expectations are met. They will be extraordinary women whose careers and stories are inspiring others to see the diversity that retail offers,” said Everywoman cofounder Maxine Benson.
The 2017 Ambassadors will be announced at an awards ceremony on September 12 in London.
It’s free to nominate and the deadline for applications is May 15. Click here for more details.
