Nominations to close this week for Hot 100

Composition of Professional Jeweller Hot 100 enters final stages.

Nominations for the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 close on July 31st, with the final composition of the list confirmed in the first week of August.

The response to this brand new event in the British jewellery and watch calendar, which is partnered by the Company of Master Jewellers, has exceeded the most optimistic expectations, with thousands of nominations pouring in via the online voting page for several hundred stars of the industry.

Many jewellers and designers mounted their own promotional campaigns – encouraging people to vote for them via Facebook and Twitter – in some cases causing a flood of nominations to be submitted overnight.

“The online nomination process has been incredibly exciting and useful in uncovering dozens of people and businesses that have the potential to be included in the Hot 100,” said Rachel Taylor, editor of Professional Jeweller.

“We went into this process with a good feel for the designers and retailers that have made the greatest impact this year, but we have been given a stark reminder that the community of industry experts that visit have their own valuable ideas,” added Taylor.

The final Hot 100 list is a closely guarded secret that will be revealed on September 7th at the Hot 100 party being held at Kensington Roof Gardens. The party, which coincides with the third night of International Jewellery London, will be attended by all members of the Hot 100, with a further 400 guests from the industry.

There are still a few more days to submit nominations. Please go to to vote for your favourite industry stars.
