Winsor Bishop, an independent family jewellers based in Norwich, has won an award for its charitable efforts on behalf of the Nook Appeal.

East Anglian Children’s Hospice presented Winsor Bishop the award after the jeweller surpassed its £50,000 pledge.

The total amount raised was £51,000.

The Nook Appeal supports children with life-threatening conditions, as well as their families, across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

Winsor Bishop’s efforts have brought the Nook Appeal close to its £10m goal.

Winsor Bishop matched the efforts of any individual employee who chose to fund-raise. It also organised a number of auction dinners in support of the charity.

Managing director Sophie Fulford said: “When we were asked to support this community project we immediately said yes. Being able to give back is so important. We feel very proud to be a part of The Nook’s journey here in Norfolk. We have seen first-hand how it supports families during their darkest moments, and we will continue to support in every way that we can.”
