Soren Lynggaard hopes to expand brand in Germany, Switzerland and UK
Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is expecting buoyant trading at BaselWorld next month, despite a tough year for the watch and jewellery industry.
The Danish luxury charm brand said that it plans to use the show to expand within its core markets of Germany, Switzerland and the UK.
Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen chief executive Søren Lynggaard said: “Our expectations for Basel World 2010 are very high. Last year was a huge success for us and this year the aim is to broaden the brand recognition even further.”
Lynggaard believes that the charm phenomenon still has legs but consumers will make a shift away from lower-priced charms to more luxurious designs. He said: “We see a trend and interest towards diamond pavé jewellery but we also see personalised fine jewellery taking off.“
