New online marketplace Retaissance has joined a new UK Government initiative designed to give a much-needed boost to the country’s retailers in the wake of the pandemic.
The Retaissance platform serves brands and retailers across all non-food areas of retail, with a focus on smaller, independent brands.
Earlier this week, the government announced extensive plans to help retailers recover post-lockdown, with e-commerce and international trade featuring heavily.
Now, Retaissance has joined the scheme along with several other companies.
Together, Retaissance and other digital marketplaces will aid the “International Clicks Fast Track Initiative”, which aims to increase routes to market following store closures due to COVID-19, and help consumer and retail businesses develop international, multi-channel, e-commerce strategies fit for the changed retail environment.
As part of the partnership with the Department for International Trade, it will also be supporting Retaissance’s first digital ‘Meet the Buyer’ event, held 3 and 4 November.
The event will allow UK and European brands to meet with buyers in one-to-one virtual meeting rooms to discuss trade opportunities and access new markets.
Retaissance Live will be free to attend with guaranteed meeting slots with buyers available to brands who join the site on any subscription package.
