Suppliers and brands will have to act fast as Professional Jeweller‘s Collections of the Year awards is set to close its nominations process today at 6pm.
Entries have been flooding in following the formal launch of the annual programme, underscoring the industry’s resilience and innovation in this most difficult and unpredictable of years.
The event will celebrate the best-selling lines launched in the UK in 2020, but brands will have to act fast as nominations close at the end of the week.
The project takes into account the opinions of knowledgeable jewellery retail buyers, brand managers and other key figures from the UK jewellery industry, rather than the end consumer, providing a clear guide of the most inspiring and commercial pieces of 2020.
Deciding the finalists and overall winner across 10 categories is a two-part process which allows the entire trade to get involved.
The first part of the process is to invite all industry professionals to have their say on which collections should be recognised across 10 categories: Fashion Jewellery, Bridal Jewellery, Silver Jewellery, Men’s Jewellery, Pearl Jewellery, Personalised Jewellery, Designer-Makers, Emerging Brands and Ethical Jewellery.
This process is open to all members of the industry, with retailers encouraged to highlight their bestselling collections of 2020 by nominating a range for each of the 10 categories applicable to their business.
Similarly, brands and designer-makers will be able to nominate their own collections and those launched by their peers.
HOW TO NOMINATE
To nominate, simply download and fill out this form: Collections of the Year 2020 NOMINATION FORM
Alternatively you can email email@example.com with the headline COTY 2020, and clearly state the name of the collection you are putting forward, and the category you believe it falls into.
Please also provide evidence as to why this should be considered as a ‘Collection of the Year’, and a high-res image of the range.
In each category, Professional Jeweller seeks to showcase cohesive collections that span a variety of pieces, including rings, earrings, necklaces, pendants and bracelets.
The deadline for entries is Friday, October 23 2020, giving all interested parties ample time to send their nominations to the team.
Collections that launched prior to January 1 2020 will not be considered.
After the deadline the Professional Jeweller team will analyse the results, and then post the finalists online in November. The industry will then be asked to vote for the overall winners in a private survey.
