Channel 4’s Million Pound Jewellers aired on 22 March, which followed the day-to-day lives of luxury jewellers and brothers, Bobby and Tommy White.

The self-made duo from the East End have been building their brand since 2003, and in 2013 were featured in Professional Jeweller’s Hot100.

Speaking about reactions since the programme, Tommy said: “It’s been great since the show aired on Tuesday; the brand awareness has been more then we could have ever expected, and we’ve had a huge response for bespoke orders.

“We’re just trying to work through them all. We have not had one minute off the phone or email since Tuesday night, which is great!”

Being elevated to fame can have some minor drawbacks, however, as Tommy explained. “The only down side to the show was it looked like the editor picked footage that only showed me when I was about to leave for the weekend, or go to the gym, which I only do on a Tuesday afternoon once a week.  However, having said that, they got mine and Bobby’s relationship down really well. As brothers we have a lot of fun at work and are always bantering with each other. We are glad the documentary showed both the craftsmanship and our personalities. I just hope next time they film me doing same work!”

The pair lead a pack of young designers, supplying to a growing list of A-list clients, which includes Jay-Z, Rihanna and Beyonce.
