Pandora hires 80 new team members to enhance the customer experience

Jewellery giant Pandora has announced that it will be growing its head office team by approximately 80 people in 2020, as well as creating a new workforce to drive online sales and improve digital customer experience.

Pandora is establishing a dedicated group at its Copenhagen headquarters to boost the company’s digital presence, omnichannel expertise and use of data.

Bringing together software engineers, designers and analysts, the group will be tasked with the rapid evolution of Pandora’s digital customer experience and driving sales through digital channels. The team will also strengthen the brand’s abilities to capture, analyse and apply customer data to enable better personalisation of the customer experience.

This expansion of Pandora’s Copenhagen headquarters will continue further in 2021 and beyond, the company reveals.

Other positions that will likely be advertised outside of the new team include product managers, strategy managers and operations managers.

Peter Holmberg, chief information officer, comments: “Data driven customer growth is a strategic bet for Pandora and our ambition is to become best-in-class at personalisation within two to three years.

“This group will be instrumental in delivering on our aspirations within advanced data analytics.”

David Walmsley, chief digital and omnichannel officer, adds: “How we derive the benefits from technology and data to create a great customer experience is key for us as a global brand.

“Today marks the next stage in Pandora’s digital transformation, as we make this significant investment in our technological capabilities.”

The digital team is expected to become operational in April 2020.
