Pandora shows girl power with latest charity collaboration

Jewellery giant teams up with the UK’s leading ovarian cancer support charity.

Pandora has partnered with the UK’s leading ovarian cancer support charity, Ovacome.

The partnership will run throughout the month of March, which marks both International Women’s Day (March 8) and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Managing director of Pandora UK, Kate Walsh, says of the new charity collaboration: “Ovacome is a fantastic organisation which supports thousands of people across the UK every year. We feel truly privileged to be partnering with a local charity and hope we can drive awareness around all the great work they do.”

To celebrate the partnership, the jewellery giant has launched a special charm, which will be available to purchase both online and in-store until March 31 2019.

The charm, which is hand-crafted from sterling silver and quartz based pink enamel, features an intricate tulip design, with an inscription on the reverse which reads, ‘Love, Strength, Happiness – International Women’s Day 2019’.

For every charm sold, Pandora will donate 20% of the sale directly to Ovacome.

Ovacome chief executive officer, Victoria Clare, shares: “We are so grateful to Pandora for all their support. As there is no screening tool for the disease it is crucial that women are made aware of the symptoms so that they are diagnosed earlier. Pandora will reach hundreds of thousands of women with this important message.”

She adds: “Pandora have also been incredibly generous in their donation of 20% of sales of the charm. This will ensure that we can expand our support services and reach even more people affected by the disease. It is a wonderful partnership and it has been a real pleasure working with the staff at Pandora, seeing their commitment to women’s health and wellbeing.”

The charm can be either worn on a bracelet or necklace and retails at £55.
