Picchiotti marks five years of patented Xpandable collection with limited edition wood bracelet

Italian jewellery brand Picchiotti has launched a new bracelet to mark the five year anniversary of its patented Xpandable collection.

Because the traditional five-year anniversary gift is wood, the company is commemorating this milestone with a limited-edition natural snakewood bracelet.

The 18ct rose and white gold Xpandable bracelet features round diamonds and purposely recut naturally shaded snakewood, with some strips appearing lighter and some darker.

The longevity of the Xpandable collection, first launched in 2016, was ensured in 2019 when Picchiotti achieved a 20-year US patent for the technology. It allows an “invisible” and comfortable size adjustment system for the brand’s bracelets and rings.

“What continues to excite me most about our patented and invisible Xpandable mechanism,” says Giuseppe Picchiotti, founder of the house of Picchiotti, “is the idea that great jewellery design can solve problems.

“With freedom from ring-sizing and cumbersome clasps, the Xpandable designs offer luxurious comfort and ease.

“They have also become a template for continual experimentation, with exciting new materials like snakewood – the perfect symbol of our five years of expansion and customer satisfaction. A happy anniversary, indeed!”
