The winner of the Independent Fashion Jewellery Retailer of the Year award sponsored by iXXXi Jewelry is Harriet Kelsall.
Retailers in this category have to be independently owned, operate four or fewer stores, and trade mainly in jewellery priced at under £1,000.
With stores in Hertfordshire, Cambridge and London, this jeweller has a particular focus on bespoke design, specialising in custom-made engagement, wedding and eternity rings.
It also has an impressive and varied range of fashion jewellery.
When it comes to the past year, meanwhile, you almost wouldn’t know there was a pandemic if you looked at the 2021 output of the independent retailer.
At a time when other businesses have been consolidating and focusing on little more than staying in the black, this company has made its offering a whole lot more sustainable, worked extensively on looking after the mental health and wellbeing of its workforce, and even added an apprentice.
It is this sort of selflessness that earned it the award for Independent Fashion Jewellery Retailer of the Year.
The rest of the nominees in this category were:
Francis and Gaye
Joshua James Jewellery
