Berry’s Jewellers scooped the Best New Store or Store Refurbishment of the Year Award for its Leeds flagship.
This category honours retailers that have adapted store environments to meet new demands and it is one category in particular that the PJ team were happy to hand over to the trade to vote on because every single company in the shortlist deserves recognition for the way they have transformed their store environment to meet new consumer needs.
It seemed the trade was torn as well though, that was until the final week when Berry’s took the lead and held onto the top spot with 26% of the votes.
You know a store refurbishment is up to five star hotel standards when the MD invites you to take a look at the toilet, and that’s exactly what Simon Walton did when our editor popped in to see the shiny new flagship.
Berry’s has achieved a totally luxurious environment that allows jewellery to shine alongside the company’s prestigious watch brands.
Following a £1.5m investment, the flagship in Leeds is now double the size, and features new areas such as a VIP lounge, and refurbished workshop, which customers are welcome to tour.
